I am getting some micro bubbles. I have my refug draining right into my return chamber. I tried a double layer of panty hose on the refug drain tube and it worked pretty good, but I am going to start using my refug soon and I want pods to be able to make it into the DT. I also get a few bubbles from my skimmer which is in another chamber next to the return. Is there something I could put around my return pump to block out micro bubbles that wouldn't affect flow?

If your return chamber is deep enough, try putting an elbow on the inlet of your return pump and turn it toward the bottom of the sump.If that doesnt work, try to use some vinyl tubing to redirect the water from your fuge to another section.

I had micro bubbles in my tank coming from my skimmer. I piped the water out of the return chamber for the pump and put it back to the return from the tank above the filter pad and they cleared up almost immediatly.

I'm having the same problem with microbubbles coming from the return section of my sump. I noticed a good portion of mini microbubbles still falls over and under the baffles. They seem to collect "somewhere" and then burst out into the tank every couple minutes.

I'm afraid I don't understand the statement below though..

You "Tee" off the return line and go back to the sump inlet with the additional branch?

If this is correct, wouldn't it cut your turnover rate in 1/2, and how does it stop bubbles?
