ok i have a small 10 gallon refugium under my 55 to keep chaetomorpha, my remora aqua c, and my heater. my problem is i get microbubbles from the return. i do not have baffles. my set up is this. i have a small garbage container i drilled holes in it and stuck my overflows hose in there, the skimmers discharge spout in their, and that is where my chaeto grows. i dont really know what to do. the bubbles in my display are not "horrible". can i just leave my system the way it is some bubbles wont hurt the fish, coral or coralline algae right? i hear they will hurt sponges but i dont intend to keep one. im just tired of battling this and want to go on with my tank.....

try a filter sock, i've got one on the outtake tube of my HOB skimmer and it stops 99% of the microbubbles, might work for your refugium

Micro sock definitely!! If you post a pic of your system, I am sure it would be easier for someone to give more detailed help.
