Ok heres the deal... my protein skimmer sits outside of my sump. The return is attached to side of the sump. I cannot get these microbubbles to stop. Even my fish are covered in them LoL

Even increasing the water level still doesn't cut it...

How long have you had the skimmer up and running. I had the same problem for a while and it eventually went away.

What kind of protein skimmer do you have? I have the same problem right after I clean the cup on the top, but it usually goes away after a while. also you can try to set the water output to a minimum until it goes away.

Put a filter bag over the skimmer outlet with a rubber band.
