Might as well jump on the bandwagon.

So with everyone around here getting a new urchin, I figured I would go ahead and post a pic of mine. Snapped it this morning as it was heading back down to the sand bed. The color is just slightly off. It's more of a black color but still has all of the purple, it was just actinics on when I took this sooo. Let me know what you guys think.

For you photo nuts here are the pic specs: shot with a Sony A-350 at 70mm with a macro lens attachment at 2 sec exp f/5.6 ISO-100 in RAW and processed in Adobe Camera RAW

I think it's a pin cushion, not 100% positive though. I've had this guy for a couple of months now and when I bought him, the store didn't have a positive name either.

I used to have a tan one. I like the color on yours.
Just make sure your corals are locked down. ;)

Believe me, I learned that just a couple of days after I got him. Everything's good now.

Glad to hear it. On the plus side, they mow the nasty algae better than most and I love when they walk around wearing some as a hat. :sombrero:

Mine hasn't worn any algae as a hat yet but it did have a snail hat for about a day. Now that was hilarious :laughy:. Watching that little snail wave all over the place trying to get away, wish I would have taken a pic of that.
