That does look like an interesting fish. Can you tell me any personal experience you have with them or reasons why you like them?

Ill be honest Mike, I like the colour scheme on them, the half bright purple and half bright yellow is striking - they are a reasonably hardy fish but can be aggresive towards tank mates

may sound strange but I noted all the colours in your tank, and thought it would look good with a splash of yellow in there - its just personal taste really on my part

the wrasse you put up is also an beautiful looking fish IMO

Ah, I see your point, and I'm starting to lean towards one. I've always liked the more complicated patterns on fish more, but the simple contrast of the purple might just set my tank off. When I'm ready to put something in I'll have to check them out in person.

funny you say a sixline.. ive been researching my next fish for the past week now. and givin my tank size and other fish ive boiled it down to two choices

a sixline wrasse or a bicolor blenny

the only problem with a bicolor is that ive heard they dont like firefish :( which i have, and he likes to float very low in my tank, (a bicolors domain) i may try it anyway.

oh btw i remember you have that possible clown pair (i posted a video of how mine act together in my tank thread if you want to compare it to yours) seems as though they are paired, they are never more than six inches away from eachother, and cuddle up side by side when the lights are out.

It seems like almost everyone is either considering or already has a six line. I think I'm getting steered away from them just from this conversation. I never really thought before about how common they are.

i was looking into a flasher wrasse aswell, i was told they are very active swimmers and might conflict with clowns swimming space and stress eachother out.

    Thanks for the info.

I'm planning on waiting a couple weeks before adding anything, so I'll keep this open to any more suggestions.

On top of sixlines being very common they are also commonly aggressive when they get older (of course there's a wide variance in temperment between individuals but just something to be aware of).

Flasher wrasses are some of my favorites, that Red Tail one you linked looks great. I'm partial to McCoskers though. :)
