I just got a catalina goby and love their coloration. Would be a good addition and takes up little space.

Sounds interesting. I'll look into those. From what I'm seeing so far they are amazing looking and cheap.

    K+ for the suggestion.

If you want something that swims around a lot they are not it. They act exactly like a neon cleaner goby. I know they like water temp around 76 +/-. My temp stays around 78-79 and he is doing fine but I think it may shorten his life span.

Their coloration is vivid and they do have a good personality.

Catalina gobies are some of the most attractive fish. My only point of concern was when I read about the fact that they thrived in slightly cooler temps. They were my first pick for stocking until that steered me away from them. I'll takes some pics of my clown gobies goofing off tomorrow when the lights are on to give you an idea of their behavior. I only have a few small caps in my tank, but from what I understand they love hanging all over SPS. They're extremely active compared to my green striped gobies. They're always hopping around or just hanging in the corals. One chills all day in my brain coral. Anyways I'll post a few tomorrow just to show you.

Here's the bigger one hiding in the toadstool. This one is pretty camera shy. Before I tried to take the picture he was on top of it.

Here's the smaller one who isn't camera shy jumping from rock to rock.

The little one loves the brain. He spends about half of the day moving around in it. It's pretty interesting.

Here's the smaller one in a candycane coral. I have a bunch of frags in the front of my tank and it uses them all as perching spots. It looks pretty funny almost like it's on carnival rides or something.

I apologize for image quality as I have no idea where my camera is so I've had to use my phone's. Also have you looked into the other smaller wrasses? A lot are much more sedate than a six line and some are even smaller like the pink stripe wrasse and the possum wrasses. It all depends on what you're willing to spend. Blue Flasher Wrasses are an option, too. Whenever you're itching to get that new fish you should check some of them out and see if they suit you.

I feel the same way. If I wasn't married, my tank would be clownless (The goby I am okay with).

Everything is looking good Mike. Sorry about the Clown. I had a GSM that drove me nuts. I traded him for some Anthias. Have you thought about Anthias? I have a couple of Dispars, but here are others too. Lyretails are a little bigger and ..... I want to say Sunburst... might not be right.... Something to do with Sun... but they are a little bigger and they are beautiful. They are very active and peaceful. I was just thinking of the bigger ones if you went with one. I don't thing 2 smaller ones would be bad. The aditions of Anthias really brought everyone out.

I am consider a pair of those little gobies. I bet they would love hanging out in my big brain.

Gobies are pretty cute. I think I'm going to have to get one.

I have thought about anthias. For being such a common fish on the reefs it's amazing we don't hear/see more about them. I wouldn't even know where to find one locally. Maybe when the new shop here is up and running I'll see if they can track a couple down for me.

Until then I'm considering a pair of pink skunk clowns. I love the look of those fish. The only reason I ever got the classic clown was for my son.
