    I finally stopped being lazy and got the remote skimmer cup hooked up. The skimmer is kicking along really well now that it's broken it.

    I did some PAR readings today, and they came in at a peak of over 300 on the sand! This may turn out to be a claim only tank...

    I added a shroud extension on the Vortech today. Makes a big difference in projecting the flow into the tank.

    Interesting idea. How would you quantify the difference? You figure you'd do the same thing if you were running two? Curious to hear the results of this idea.

    I would think it would project flow farther into the tank? But why bother in a smaller tank?

    Because of the way the wet side sits in the wave box, a lot of flow was just bouncing around in there.

    Wave height went up by about 1/2 inch without changing any settings.
