My remote skimmer cup doesn't work:confused:

I think the airline clogs up to easily for the job. I guess I'm back to emptying that manually until I figure out a different design.

What if you rigged it to take a slightly bigger size tubing, that might help?

I finally got the skimmer that I wanted to run on this tank. It's still breaking in, but it's definitely a lot quieter than the AquaticLife one I was running before.

mike i had on idea that you have a innovative marine.
i have the 16g, you can check out my forum on show off your tank page, but i have a question for you, what did you do with the filter, are you running the skimmer, and do you have rock and sand with a light on the back. ???
let me know b/c i'm thinking about making my filter in the back a refugium

It's the 30 gallon Innovative Marine tank. As far as filters, I have lived rock packed into the back chambers anywhere that it will fit, and I also run Innovative Marine's SkimMate protein skimmer. They definitely leave there filtration open to the addition of a refugium on either end, and they even make a light that would fit really well.

Yes, I've always used live rock as my primary filtration and had great success with it. I dose calcium, alkalinity buffer and a carbonate balancer. Other than that, I just do weekly water changes.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Those are really beautiful clams. I am sure an image does not do it justice.
