    Getting closer...

Now I need to go try it under some less powerful lighting.

You don't need less powerful lights. Just increase the shutter speed to offset. Most of your best Fish photographers use the flash. This enables them to use a very fast shutter speed.

Loved the video! Nice update.....your tank seems to have changed a bit since your last one. I think your pics are awesome! The fish has such beautiful coloration.

I decided to add a Two Little Fishies kalkwasser stirrer. I'm hoping it will lessen my dependence on dosing, so I've turned off my dosing units to see exactly what this unit can do.

For anyone who hasn't seen the Two Little Fishies model, it's a pretty awesome design which uses the ATO pressure to spin a "sprinkler" head within the reactor and thus mix the kalk every time the ATO is activated.

Today alkalinity is sitting at 11dKh and calcium is at 460ppm.

I'm planning on testing once per/day until I have a better sense of how it's going to impact my chemistry. I'll track progress on this thread.

Keep an eye on your Potassium and Magnesium levels too. Downside of calk is that those elements may be overlooked.

I dose mag once per/week, so that should be good, and I've never done anything with potassium. Know of any good test kits?
