I scored an intense new chalice today. Not sure on a name. Any guesses?

So do chalices stay flat like that or do they grow branches?

It depends a lot on the species and location it's housed in. I keep them on flat discs in my tank because it's more efficient for them to grow over and much easier to cut up later. If you grow them on rocks, they will sometimes grow more interestingly.

This one has been on this rock since it was just a speck.
