I couldn't decide on that so I am going without them to start and see how it goes. From the LEDs to the bottom of the tank is only 13'', so I probably wont need them.

I figured i mean its a small tank so overspill of light wont be too bad, but i would add em on maybe the blues and uv to maximize the par that they put out, cuz its not high to begin with as compared to the whites.

but hell if you dont need em, screw em. but with 5 it would be a breeze to pop some on if need be.

whats the stocking going to be like?

Yea, the light off the sides of the tank isnt to bad, but it's definitely there. I'll probably end up attaching the extra lenses from my nano build when I do it.
Since they are on one driver at 700mA, the whites are only running at 50% potential.

And whatever my angel decides to nip at will be put in here which is currently my crocea clam and trachy. And I will put in a trio of sexy shrimp once they arrive.

I say just put the light closer to the tank.. No need to add lenses.

Took some pictures when I got home from work. Clam already attached his foot and opened up some. Used my iPhone, so the first picture couldn't balance the whites all that well, looks really bright.

My poor Trachy :( as you guys can see, a lot of its flesh is gone. I hope it can recover.

Also a possibility. I'll let the livestock acclimate for a bit and see how they react before I lower the fixture or add lenses.

Here is a little update on my trachy. Only been about a week and it already looks 100% better. As you can see, its recovered most of its flesh back and is starting to inflate again. I've been surprised with the lack of evaporation on the pico. I only have to top off once a day usually, and only a few ounces if that. Making maintaining this thing super easy.

    Thanks :)

It has been pretty neat watching it heal day by day. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner, poor guy :(
