Haha, I know. Oddly, I'm doing things in reverse this time around. Start with the harder to keep stuff so I stay on top of my husbandry. We'll see it if it was a good idea!

    Thanks Mr. Bill!

Thanks Cheryl! They are probably my fav too. The one on top is a tenuis or millie, I'm not sure. I'm horrible at differentiating SPS. But it is an awesome neon yellow/green color and always has great PE.

The bottom one is a birds of paradise, it really perked up the second day I got it.

The middle one is a really awesome looking Tort. It looks better with the whites on strangely enough, such a strong blue. It is the only one not really showing any PE. I moved it a bit to the right, but it still doesn't seem happy.

    Any suggestions?

As an update, I finally got an RO/DI about a week and half ago. So amazing, I can't believe I lugged water around this long. The TDS of the water out here was in the 460s and it was just so bizarre to see that 000 on the TDS meter afterwards.

My anemone finally picked a spot and seems to be doing well. Decided to feed it a little mysis while I was feeding my fish today. It ate it up and now looks to be splitting. I'll snap some pictures. I know this is usually a good thing, but it seems too early. I've heard that anemones split as a survival tactic if it feels that it is going to die soon.

Any thoughts? Oh, and I was planning on doing about a 20% WC tonight, is that still a decent idea with the nem splitting?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Most BTA that I have introduced to a tank did split within a matter of weeks. I just do not think it's always means of survival, sometimes yes but it I am inclined to think it a subtle change in water chemistry. Kind of like shrimp and crabs molting shortly after introduction. Sure if the tank is not completely cycled or still young enough to still be having those dramatic swings in chemistry then yeah it might be a survival mode means of reproduction.

I would be inclined to think Mille, but I have been bad as my ID sps guesses lately. Definitely Tort and BOP though.

I'll go with a millie, I can't remember what Will at Aqua SD told me. Any recommendations on where to place the tort?

No param changes, except for the anemone since it is in a new environment. It hasn't showed any of the usually signs of stress, so I hope for the best. Do you think I would be okay to do my water change still, or could it be a big change for the nem?

Attached the best pic I could get so far of it. It seems to be tearing itself apart, I could jus t be going crazy.

I would wait until the anemone completes cloning, and yeah they look like they literally ripping in half because that is exactly what they are doing.

Torts in my experience, especially blue like it high under intense lighting with mod to higher flow.

    A little update.

The BTA was not splitting, just folding itself very oddly apparently! Shortly after it decided to do a complete 360 around the rock it was on and found a dark crevice closer to the light. And today it moved a little higher up, but in the same crevice. Guess he is becoming acclimated to the light.

Speaking of light, I ordered everything for my second LED fixture during the Black Friday sales. It is my "x-mas present", so I have to restrain from building it until after Christmas.

AquaSD has been having some great Live Sales lately and now my tank is stocked, just need everything to grow! All of the new/old corals are doing great. The SPS are encrusting and showing great PE. The only coral not wanting to extend its polyps is a small frag of Goni I got. Can't seem to find a spot it likes.

My Hogfish and Firefish are now in the DT and going great as well. Purchased a Coral Beauty that has been in QT for a week. While starting her first dose of Prazipro today, noticed a few white dots on her dorsal fin. Think she has ich : / Cupramine treatment will start next week.

Here are some crappy phone pics

I finished constructing my second LED fixture and installed it this past weekend. Below are some pics and a FTS (sorry for the color/glare issues). Tank is doing well and everything is growing well. My Coral Beauty Angel is still in QT with copper treatment.
