Military service 3reef members?

I'm sure a thread like this has appeared before, but with all the new 3reef face poking around I decided to start a fresh one.

If you are a 3reef member and have been involved or are currently involved in some form of military service, could you tell us what branch, what you were, what you did, where you went, or what you're doing now? (if you're allowed to talk about it that is ) basically just tell us about yourself

Or if you have any stories you'd like to share, by all means go for it

I'm sure we have some Delta Force guys or some SEALS on here...wait...nevermind, no we don't

My father is a retired Air Force Master Sargeant, was in the military for 20 years, so I'm a military brat.

I'm a 1st Sergeant in COD ;D

 

I was in the Marines from 2005-2009. I did two deployments to Iraq, both in an infantry battalion. I was a radio operator attached to two different rifle companies. When I finally got out in 2009 I was a Sgt. Now, I go to a private university in Fl (thanks to the GI bill) and work part time at Home Depot. I am addicted to reef keeping. Life is good.

 

i was a weapons technician in the canadian military from '03-06(really short run, i know) never got to see Afghanistan but all my buddies got to go! i was in an all french unit(151 service battalion, st. Hubert, Quebec) and i was often forgotten due to the fact that im english. anyways, i left with an honorable discharge as a corporal. i enjoyed my time in the service while i was stationed in Borden(well it was mostly training) and my 3 months in Edmonton.

 

I was an aircraft electrician in the Navy for five years. Did two world cruises, one on the USS Nimitz and one on the USS Stinis aircraft carriers. Sat in the persian gulf for over a year baby sitting Sadam. Now I'm a registered nurse.

 

Same here. My dad retired as Senior Msgt and spent 21 years going all over the place, military was a way of life. The family always stayed stateside when he went overseas, but we moved around a lot when I was young. Went to 12 different schools thoughout elementary and high school, but we spent a good bit of time in Las Vegas, NV at Nellis AFB.
