Anyone ever use this product or hear good reviews about it? Is it worth paying $85 to know the Lux of your light? Also is the sensor submersible and how long is the cord?

    Absolutely worthless.

You need a PAR meter and not a Lux meter. I highly recommend the Apogee brand.

I read a lot of good reviews about the Apogee! If I'm going to be using it for aquarium lighting do I need the buy the one that does sunlight and electic or just the electric?

Sounds like a par meter is for really hardcore, I mean hardcore people. If it was not so expensive ill buy one but dont think its worth it.

The cost is the reason why our reef club bought one to only be used by club members. However, you would be shocked to learn how quickly many bulbs lose PAR so if you are raising corals for a business or want your corals to fill in quicker, it's a very useful tool.
