Added a red mushroom, mini carpet anemone and turbo snail to my tank last week from my LFS last Sunday. Acclimated for 45 minutes.. Then added all to my tank. Mushroom and snail took fine. But the mini carpet sucked into a hole in my LR and stayed there for about 4 days... 2 days ago when I left for work in the morning I saw it still in its hole , but in the afternoon it was gone, only thing in there was a bristle worm. Probably about an inch long. Now I doubt it could of eaten the anemone in under 10 hrs.... Not ruling it out but seems more likely that it left the hole and got swept in the current to another location.... Only thing is I have pulled out some of the bigger rocks and its no where to be found. I know I didn't/can't see all the potential spots it could be but a mini carpet that was about 6" across at my LFS and and at least a 50 cent piece when I got it home seems a little tough to totally disappear. Anyone have any experience with them hiding only to have them randomly appear. Is this normal behavior or did my cuc have a exspensive meal while I was at work? Thanks for all your help

when you say a mini carpet, you're talking a maxi mini right? I've actually been lucky (knock on wood) in that mine (maxi minis) have stayed right where I put them. I'm sure they can fold up and be very small and fit just about anywhere. You'll find it I'm sure at some point. I definitely do not think it got eaten by your CUC.

Still not within view. Turned off my pump/powerheads and lifted some of my rock up and still no sign. The guy I bought it from says it'll turn up but I'm loosing hope. It will be 3 weeks on Sunday since it went in tank and its been missing for 2 weeks today. Lost cause?
