I have little legs poking out in numerous places that appear to be the legs identical to my serpent starfish, but very small. They don't seem to move around alot. My son said they're micro-serpeant starfish and they're good. He's actually seen little bodies attached to the legs in his..so far in my tank I can only see little legs poking out..no bodies, but they're probably somewhere in there. Is there such a thing as a micro serpent star..and are they okay?? Thanks

there is, they are called brittle stars, but you might never get to see the whole thing, where they don't leave the rock that they are in.

Isn't a brittle star the name of another star that is normal size? This starfish has the legs of a normal serpent starfish...octapus looking..is that the same as a brittle star? ...and thank you for helping !~

no prob! it is only like a smaller version, you can call it sea serpent, many people do,
but it is very tiny and feed on detritus. it may move occasionally, but not from the rock work
