    where should i adjust the amount of bubbles going into the collection cup?? should it be at the top of the chamber or towards the middle?

    Start lower and work your way higher as the unit breaks in (develops a slime coat).

    Thanks! Its been set to as low as it will possibly go, and ill raise it a little at a time, how do i know when it at the right height?

    When it produces the color of skimmate you want.

    Glad you asked this question. I have the same skimmer and I'm not quite sure where my adjustment knob should be. I have it turned almost all the way to the right, so it's not spitting out a lot of water. I'm getting some skimmate out. It's a little watery right now, but it is pulling stuff out of my month old tank.

    You know its dialed in when the skimmate is very dark. ;)

    Its doing great now, its getting a nice color skimmate out. I love this thing.
