miniatus grouper

Does anyone have first hand knowledge of these fish? After I gave away my husband's beloved spotted grouper, he has been wanting another. I am wanting to know general hardiness, aggression, and personality. It will be going into a 210g aggressive fowlr. He wants to get one NOW but, being the " Caretaker of the Tanks " , I want to make get first hand info rather than just reading it from a book or website. Thanks !

 

I've had one in the family (was my brother's). They are very hardy, but once you add one you can take that beautiful long list of fish you can add to your aquarium and throw it away. We kept him with an eel so we had no issues, but anything he can fit into his mouth (or thinks he can fit into his mouth) will be gone. You will only be able to keep larger aggressive fish with him (snappers, triggers, non-reef safe wrasses, lionfish, etc.).
