Miracle Mud!!!

Can someone tell me why miracle mud costs so much? i went to the lfs to stuff to start refugium, and i asked about miracle mud because i read here that it was good. well, how good is this stuff???? $80 for a bag of it!!! :'( wow i put it right down and said i'll try to get by with live sand, calerpa, and a couple live rocks. This must be some miracle , please tell me the low down on this aquarist's gold they call miracle mud : and tell me if i really need it if i only have 2 fish in a 46 gal tank.

It's not needed and it is way over rated IMO. It was a trendy thing if you ask me, sort of like a pet rock that some people thought were cool.

Whew!! That's a load off my mind (mind=wallet). you're too funny Naut. They did try to bend me over and pack my mud!! LOL
BTW, where or how do i post pic's here of my creations?? I just put my home built refug into action, and it's a work of art! thanks to all those who post info and pics here!! you guys have given me the best crash course ever.

 

Oh, and one more thing, how do i get a banner for three reef??? huh? huh? please?

It would be hard for me to put your user name on a banner. Ever think about changing it? You do know it is really easy to do here at 3 reef without losing posting numbers or karma.
