I have been sick for years and I started taking Colloidal Silver which is a vitamin suppliment. My friend Geri called me about 10-12 days ago. She breeds fish and had a problem with one of her favorites. It seems her fish had acquired bloat, it wouldn't eat or go to the bathroom. It stayed on the bottom of the tank and wasn't swimming around.

She knew what the suppliment had done for me, and wanted some to try it to save her fish. I asked her how bad the fish was and she was sure the fish was dying. Now, I'm not an expert on fish by no means but I told her to come in and I would give her some of my liquid vitamin that I was taking and that it may not save the fish and she needed to accept the fact that the fish may die. I had read some articles about using it on animals, and even fish but I didn't want her to be overly disappointed if the fish didn't make it. But what did she have to loose anyway, the fish was already dying.

I told her to put the fish in some tank water with the silver. Four minutes into the the dip, she called me. She was so excited, its stomache was getting smaller and she could see it going down in front of her eyes. It had started to swim around the bucket trying to get out. Then it started to poo. She put it back into the tank and fed the tank. She said it was knocking fish out of the way to get to the food and was doing great. All in less than 10 minutes from start to finish.

The next day, she looked for the fish and thought it was dead behind the decorations but couldn't find it anywhere. After doing a head count, she realized that all 6 of her fish were present and accounted for. It has been about 10-12 days since the fish dip. I talked to her today and she said the fish was back to its old self and it had turned really white. I told her maybe the Silver bleached it out and she said no, it was a white fish but his coloring was really intense and all the others were a dull color. She not only believes it saved her fishes life but now believes there may have been a bacteria or some sort of infection on the outside of the fish that it might have killed and the intense color is the color it is supposed to be.

I don't know, I only know that it did help the fish get rid of the bloat.

Has anyone out there ever used Silver to treat their fish? Has anyone even heard of it before?

It makes sense that silver would kill an infection. Its commonly used in medicine to treat topical infections in people. We dont use it internally on a normal basis because it is toxic, though.

    Sent from a phone.

I have heard of it before. It is a typical method to treat certain things in homeopathic medicine. I have taken it myself as a vitamin but never for a specific sympton nor have ever tried it with a pet.

I give it to my dogs in small doses once a week to keep them healthy. Given the choice between regular water and Colloidal, they will go for the Colloidal every time.

What works for one does not necessarily work for others. I am by no means giving anyone medical advise or trying to get anyone to try it. Just letting people know that it helped my friends fish and asking people if they have heard about it or tried it on a sick fish.
