I have had a cleaner shrimp for almost a year now, it was a pretty nice size, not a little one. Friday i got home and noticed it was nursing a wound on the sidewall of its abdomen. Maybe the new, 4 week old, anemone burned it? or was it the bully of a powder blue tang that's been beating on my fox face since November? Either way, Saturday, I noticed NO SHRIMP!....I had to move some rock to the sump and to a new nano...I literally moved every single rock in the tank. HE'S GONE. Not inside the tank, not outside the tank...NO WHERE...NOT EVEN A TRACE OF A BODY!!!!..So what happened?

probably got ate. By what? Who knows. I've lost a couple shrimp....they just go poof in the night.

FWIW, i don't think most shrimp are entirely long lived... maybe it was his time.
