    i have lost 2 fish in 3 days......i'm not a happy man..
    lost a clown in Friday and my sailfin tang today.....
    i've checked all my levels....ph 7.8
    nitrate 0 ppm
    gravity 1.022
    i also have noticed the green algae is coming back???

    Shine a flashlight in the tank at night to search for crabs.

    crabs..What kind of crabs?...i have lots of hermit crabs.....can a serpant star snatch them????

    Not talking hermit crabs but more like possibly a nasty hitchiker type, like a gorilla crab. I have nefer had a serpent star catch and eat a healthy fish. A sick and dying one, yes, but never a healthy one.

    PH is kind of low to...IMO...might want to bump it up to 8.2 - 8.4

    How does your Ammonia and Nitrite look as well?

    nfarocks,
    I looked at your other posts. You've had a string of things going on...green hair algae...nitrates.....and now dead fish. Something basic is going wrong. You have a large tank and lots of live rock; you shouldn't be having these problems.
    Check your filter's operation, use the lights less to cut down on the algae.
    Amcarig had a great idea. You may have something preying on your fish. Do you have a cat?
