:uhoh:Yea, I know I need to check my iodine levels. I keep forgetting to pick it up everytime I go to the store, thats why I try to only add them very sparingly. I also try to do a 5 gallon waterchange a week and sometimes I wait and do a 15 if the waters been good. Anyway I actually saw him last night before I went to bed when the lunar lights came on at like 1. So I figure hes just getting used to the tank. Thanks for all the help, I'm happy I didnt tear the tank apart looking for him.

When you have lr there are thousands of places for stuff like that to hide. Sometimes they will be missing for months. Glad you saw him. IMO stop dosing all that crap, let the tank do it's thing, and definitely don't dose without testing, surefire recipe for desaster. Good luck with everything!!

Thats good to hear. On a side note, as I said before, I would stop dosing all that stuff(P. up, Iodine and str.) b/c when you do a WC thats what your replacing anyways. By dosing all that stuff, your just adding to it. The only elements that you MIGHT need to dose, is Cal, Alk and Mag and thats a big if depending on your load. Just food for thought. Luna

I stopped dosing:). I didnt think you put anything in as far as iodine, calcium, etc. when you used ro/di water to do a water change?

It's the salt mix that re-supplies the RO water with things like stable kh, mg, ca.
