Love the zoanthids and no worries about the diatom ... that will go away with time... as we all know patience is a BIG word in this hobby!!

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Unfortunately, over the years, I've experienced diatom algae and cyanobacteria more times that I care to remember. Add ventricaria ventricosa, valonia, bryopsis pennata, derbesia, caulerpa, red turf algae and many more to the list. Decided today and grow some cool macro. And growing mangroves hydroponically in saltwater is pretty cool in itself. That is if you (not you personally) understand what salt in water does to normal plants.

Hey, you're pretty good with that camera! Tank's looking great regardless of the algae!

Oh man I love that thing. Too cool.
Dude is that a 300 watt heater or something? Seems huge for that tank. Can you stash one in the Overflow filter?

Yes, it's an old ebo jager heater(250w). I bought a new heater that was faulty, returned bought another and found that the flow is too slow through my fuge to heat the water. I definitely could have done a better job hiding it. Been lazy.::)
