I had something on there for a while. Kept shooting it off. Since I haven't been doing anything with this 'til now, hasn't really mattered. The connection between the fuge and the return where it splits, is a bit scary and is probably the failure point. It's connected via slip fittings (kinda loose to) and "T" 's to the fuge that has a valve. If I open the valve enough, it will flood. I'm afraid of adding too much restriction and having the fittings pop apart. I was up late last night making a [STRIKE]few different adjustments[/STRIKE] mess. Getting some of the rough edges dialed in.

Got a little crazy today. I'll start with current parameters.

Salinity/specific gravity-1.023ppm- added 1 gallon of concentrated salt water to raise.
temp.-78 right now. Will hit 82 once the lights get going. I just bought a brand new heater and it's broken. I will target a closer range to 82 degrees.
    PH-8.3
    Ammonia/NH3-.50-1.0
    Nitrite/NO2-.50-1.0
    Nitrate/NO3-5-10ppm
    Phosphate/PO4-0.2
    Magnesium/Mg-1455
    Alk/dKH/KH-11
    Calcium/Ca-460
With that, I dug up an old skimmer that I had and cleaned it up and put back together. So, I now have a H.O.B. skimmer running. It's the seaclone that is rated up to 100 gallons. El cheapo for now. Should do the job on the phosphate and nitrate.

I still live by the idea of banded trochus snails and chitons :D That's what we have, and both species have breed. Meaning more members of the CUC. I don't know if you'd be as lucky, but I love it haha
