Just a quick question on what you all think about mixing and matching live rock from different places? I have rock from Fiji in my tank at this time, and have been looking at some stuff from Tonga. I know the two islands are not that far apart ( in the big ocean world ) but looking at the structure of the two, they look different. I can also get my hands on some rock from around FL. Thoughts???????

It's always good to mix rock but once you get a lot of coral growing you will never see the rock anymore. Nice to have the different diversity of each though;D .

There is nothing wrong with mixing types of LR. Its a personal choice for the look of the rock... i have 3 different kind of LR in my tank. But as Otty said, i dont see it much anymore ;).

Different rock from various parts of the world offer organisms that are many times indiginous to that part where they live only and offer you more diverse bacteria, micororganisms, flora etc. to accent your tank as Otty stated!
