Mixing BP brands?

    OK, I have been running biopellets (BRS brand) for 11 months now and its time to add more.

    So here is my question:
    Would it be a problem if I add and mix with other brand? (Im looking at DrTim's NP-Active Pearls)

    Don't cross the streams! haha

    I ASSuME it would be ok but you may want to throttle back on the amount you typically use to be safe? Or start blending and phase the BRS you been using out if there is enough...

    No i dont have any BRS pellets left. I will go really slow of course tho, to top off regardless of the brand.

    Shin, I'm not quite sure, but I might have up to 500 ml of BRS biopellets for you if you want them. You'd have to wait a week until I get home, but if I have them, I could send you a couple hundred mls.

    Otherwise, I don't think it would be a problem to mix, maybe add 50 ml/week.

    Might I ask why you are deciding to change? I just recently started running a BRS biopellet reactor is why I ask.

    Sorry about the delay.

    The reason? hmmm.. I always think theres something better out there, and I have to try myself in addition to what I can find on 3reef/online. And LiveAquaria's free shipping policy is way easier to meet than other companies :)

    The Dr.Tims Pearls is ordered and should be here sometime next week.
