Mixing dottybacks

    Can you keep a sunrise and an orchid dottyback in the same tank? I have a 40g breeder with a harptail blenny, two misbar clownfish, and plan on getting a 6-line wrasse.

    That probably wouldnt work as dottybacks are very aggressive fish ,especially to each other.

    IMO that is a recipie for disaster. one in that small of a tank you probily cant add more than one dottyback. also dottybacks and 6line wrasses are extremly aggresive once established in a tank. i added a bicolor dottyback to my tank with a 6line wrasse and the dottyback was dead in a day.

    I had a 55 that did great with 4 dottybacks.it can be done.not easy though. Overfeed massive filtration and lots of rock.also add them at the same time.
