Over the years, I have typically used the cheapest salt I could get. Usually instant ocean. I have never had a problem and have mixed several times.

Ok other question how should I store it. Last time I got that much when I got to the last bag it had clumped up and was no good I was thinking put the bags unopened in a bucket and store the opened bag in zip lock bags. I figure if I put in zip locks I have the portions I need its in a seal container all I need is to pour the bag in water

The less air contact it has the better it is. Especially being down here in Fla where the humidity can be crazy. I keep my bags rolled up or sealed from air. Do you live in a block home cause they tend to hold more moisture down here. Do you keep your bags in the box out of light?

Buy a 160 gal bucket of salt and use that to store a couple bags in. Or just a home depot 5 gal bucket and cover will work. Keep the others unopened until you need more. Mix the salt from the 2 bags together by rolling the bucket on the floor (don't shake it) and turning it upside down. Keep the cover on it at all times except when mixing salt water.
