mod lighting for corals

    im getting some frag that need mod lighting. should i be placing under LR that has shade or keep at the bottom?

    manny variables what type of lighting you have how deep is your tank rockwork ect .

    i have a 55g w/ 700w lighting system. lighting system is hung 10in from the top of the tank. 500w MH 216w artinic 420 blubs. was thinking bout get 150w mh bulbs. the corals i have say that i need mh lighting. every1 tells me i have to much and are rite but ihavent notice any problems yet.

    That's pretty damn intense lighting for a 55g tank! Please post pics! :)

    That is a huge amount of light agreed. Put the coral on the sand and see how it reacts.
