    Hey guys and gals.

Just wondering if anyone has had exp with acrylic tanks with built in sumps.
Basically my tank is split 75/25 front to back. the 75% being display area.
the remaining 25% being sump on the back half seperated by a blue piece of acrylic that seems to be mended on.

i really wanted to build a sump fuge to go under the tank and use all the space in the 60g for display.
this will also reduce clutter on the top of the tank with skimmer, extra lighting for the chaeto in the sump.

I bought the tank used for 150 dollars with pumps base rock and berlin turbo w/out pump.
so i wouldn't be wasting much but would like to removed the center piece of acrylic and used a sump/fuge,

is this possible or would it compromise the tank in anyway?????

anyhelp or opinions against this is apretiated.;D

O.K. i hunkered down and bit the bullet.
last night i started to do my tank. so i broke all the rocks down drained the water seperated the fish into a little tank with a powerhead a rock and some chaeto. then started hacking away at the acrylic. after doing some major cutting and making the neihbors angry from all the noise ;D

it turned out way better than expected! kept the overflow portion of the tank for use of a fuge/sump addition later in the near future.

I lost track of some fish but after adding all the stuff in the tank and a few hours of waiting all fish are counted for. ;)

i thought i lost two since they werent in the small tank before returning them to the original modified tank.

I will be posting some pics tomm. after the water clears up.
