72 watts shouldn't be too much IMO.. The only issue would be heat.. I had the dx and I had to have it drilled and added a sump to keep mine cool.....

I've got 72w over a 24g DX and it does fine lol

hopefully the lights come this week, I just removed and replaced the hood, it does come off pretty easy so that will be nice...heres pictures of the canister filter, along with the "modified" overflow grate to allow more water into it, hopefully none of the critters are dumb enough to end up in the overflow...and of course a pic of the blue fin damsel, and a pic of the bangai, the two newest fish, the clown wont slow down enough to get a pic of, and the blenny didnt come out while I was getting the pics just now

yeah, its been working flawlessly so far, its more like silent then quiet, you could set it up a few different ways, the pickup tube I cut real short incase something happens like a line breaks or something then it will only take a gallon or or so out of the tank rather then most of the water, also shortened the output piece to get the spraybar near the surface...it holds more carbon and ceramic then the nanocube has stock so I have over double of that stuff now...or it is "carbon floss" not the typical filter carbon, I ordered some refills for it when I got it...ordered mine from foster and smiths...oh, lights should be here saturday, or monday at the latest...may be looking at a used 46 gallon bowfront now too, as a second reef tank...
