I live in Nevada. We have like 7% humidity here. I go threw a gallon a day on my 55g tank, so yours sound perfectly normal.

2nd jed. My 90g, 55g & 20g are in my tiny living room which is open to my kitchen. Theres a door to my bedroom seperating the BR & kitchen. The thermostat is in the bedroom. There is one vent from the a/c blowing into the kitchen (only). So, the balance of the area in the house is through the bedroom door to the BR, bathroom & study.

At night, I close the door to the BR because the noise from the sump/pump in the living room keeps me up some nights. In the AM, I open the bedroom door to the kitchen & can feel the heat & humidity. Within 5 min, the a/c kicks on. First thing, I check tank temps usually in the high 70's.

By the time I get ready to get on the road to work, the temp has come down a coupla degrees to about 76-77.

Just curious, let's try and tackle the noise issue here. I don't think you should be hearing that much from the sump and pump. Describe what is happening.

Nah, I guess I stated that wrong. It's actually the swirling & moving water.

Just a follow up, I bought a digital weather station thing today, and I am sitting at about 42% humidity in the house at about 80 degrees.
