    Unfortunately, it's too effective. You don't want to force your inverts into a molt (which is one of the potentially bad things that will happen if you supplement iodine without testing the levels in your tank first).

    i had a blood shrimp that was mutulated by a emerald crab.well he lost most of his legs and claws.well i used iodine to help him molt since he wouldnt on his own.ithelped for 2 days then he was so weak that he couldnt defend himself and died.i wouldnt do it again.

    When mine molted I didn't use anything. I had a molting festival going on in my tank!!!!!:balloon::balloon2::balloon3::balloon:
