Um...if the fish is only 2 feet long in a giant lake...how did they know that fish was the culprit? Surely it wasn't the only "zander" in the lake. If it's anything like a northern pike, as the definition said, that lake would be full of them. I mean, fish like that have teeth for a reason. Surely it wasn't just one fish biting swimmers.

They should go swim with a 4 foot musky and be bitten by one of THOSE, the swiss swimming sissies. Muskies are quite common in the Northern US and Canada, and we don't see anyone complaining about THOSE do we? :D

Every once in a while you hear of someone getting bit by a huge musky around here.

The record musky was like around 6 feet long, and 70 some pounds. But even I have caught a 46 inch one that was around 25 lbs and I don't even fish much.

I used to love fishing for big zander, they are one of my favourite fish! We have lots over here, never heard of anyone getting bitten though, heard about a very rare pike attack here a few years ago but thats it.
They should have been wearing fins, mask and snorkell and I'm sure the fish would have been more scared of them. I wouldn't go swimming in a lake without them... Not that I go swimming in lakes I prefer to go swimming/snorkelling in the sea.

"It is quite unusual for zanders to bite humans", Croci said, adding he suspected the fish was suffering from a hormonal imbalance which could be responsible for its aggression."

Dang, that explains a lot of my issues! Maybe I'm a fish! :fish:
