Right, im still in coral buying mode, montis are the fav of the moment, and ive seen 2 on ebay that im totally interested in.

RED/BLUE SUPERMAN MONTIPORA CORAL FRAG /MARINE on eBay (end time 23-Jun-10 15:27:46 BST)

KRYPTONITE SUPERMAN MONTIPORA CORAL FRAG /MARINE on eBay (end time 23-Jun-10 15:31:49 BST)

Now these corals are rare in the UK, so im really tempted, but im not too sure what type of monti they are? Are they encrusting? Confusa? Branching? Any ideas?

I'll have to sell my favia to make room for it, but i was thinking of doing that anyway! its far too aggresive at night time.

thats a good price on the buy it now option IMO
they are relatively hardy corals and excellent colours ( all my montis have polyps same colour as the body so I like these 2 varieties very much)

they are encrusting and very cool looking! Superman montis are very slow growing compared to other types of montis IMO so I would not be to worried about getting rid of your favia yet! I bought 2 small pieces of reverse sunset and superman frags 2 years ago. While the superman has encrusted to plug and grown onto the other rock, the reverse sunset has just encrusted the plug completely now! Of course the bigger they are the faster they grow......
Make sure you dip the monte in lugols solution when you get them and then again in week or so if you do not have a quarantene tank. Several years ago I bought a very large plating monti and in a matter of couple days all my montis (only had 3 at the time) were dead. It was infested with monti eating nudis! I had to go at least 6 months without any montis to make sure all the MEN were dead. So montis are one that I will NEVER EVER add without dipping first
