Monti cap growth rates

So I picked up a green monti cap frag yesterday. I already have an orange cap that is now growing at a quick clip. I want to mount the green one near the orange but I'm concerned about one blocking the light of the other.

Does one color grow faster than the other or do they have the same growth rates?

 

My experience is that they have similar growth patterns, but there are some types of mont caps that grow slower. I have a green and purple rimmed monti cap that grows pretty quickly, but I also have a purple one that is a different variety of cap and that grows a little slower.

 

I got one as a throw in from Harry's Frags and have had it about 3 weeks or so and noticed it already shows signs of gowth!
How fast do this things grow? How do you set them up to grow into each other?

Mine is mounted on a tile. Should i take it off the tile and mount in directly to a rock?

 

My Idaho grape grows several times faster than my Orange. It's actually starting to grow over it some so I'm going to have to frag it. It's the fastest growing thing in my tank. Which is cool cuz the frags are worth $$$$.

 

I can see daily growth in my orange monti by watching the gaps between "pedals" close up. I ended up pacing the green frag near but not right up next to the orange.

 

What about a superman monti? Are they fast growers?
