Monti frag question

I know it will help to have a picture but my camera sucks cant take one so maybe someone can still help me i just bought a monti cap fragand when i put it in my tank i realized it had a brown tip looks like its dieing there it didnt look like it had it at the lfs i was wondering if i should cut the brown off or leave it

 

brown as in algae? Usually if it dies, it will turn white, then slowly get covered with algae over a few days. If you squirt it with a turkey baster, would the brown come off?

 

I dont think so ill try it but it looks like its kinda dead on the end

 

i tried it wont come off the whole thing is red with a white rim around the front where the brown part is im thinking i should probably just cut it off just to make sure but i wanna see what you guys think first

 

white on caps is new growth. it will color up in a few days

 

the white edges are good...the brown part..just brush it off with a toothbrush..I always have one in my aquarium stuff..or similar brush..if not, you can snip it with something, if your that concerned..no worries...but it should go away once the critters get on it tonight...its just a bit'o algae..imo ... give it a day or so.
