    Is there anything that influences whether monti cap's grow upward and cup, as opposed to outward and flat?

    My frag has more than doubled in a few weeks (probably size of my palm now), however it seems like it's just growing out and flat? I really like the look of when they form the upward cups. Maybe there is nothing I can do here...?

    I have a green that is in high flow that grows in flat plates and a red that is in lower flow that grows much slower and is forming a very nice cup. So I believe it's the flow that determines shape but I may be wrong.
