well, things are going down hill very fast.... I had a recomendation to try poly ox by Kent marine if things continue to go down and have called the stores in my area and nobody has it, including the major freshwater store (pond store) in my area. These things will not be alive by the time I order it online. The frags now are getting the white areas and the other monti that I thought was doing well is dying from the bottom up. There is no other way I can frag these pieces...so I guess I just have to wait for it to die. Every piece of the frag is affected:cry:. Well, I guess I will just wait several months before I even think about putting another monti in my display tank...and I LEARNED MY LESSON!!!! FW DIP AND QT ALL CORALS NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!

Here are the ugly frag pictures today..only way I could get clean tissue of the pieces

Sorry to hear about your problems. Alot of us, including me, have been there before. But please, in the future DO NOT fresh water dip stony corals. If you're going to dip them, use saltwater with whatever treatment/application is needed to kill parasites/pests (iodine, poly-ox, etc.)

Just for an update....lost the entire colony. Posted under the COTM section. But thought I would follow up here. I gave it my all, but those Son of Guns were just too much....no chance of getting them. I did the FW did which is a no no, 2 high risk dips of something I am not going to mention, and 2 treatment of Prazi Pro. Each time I dipped them I had a bucket full of nudi and other crud. Finally when I was down to a small piece today I decided to throw in white flag and call it quits. I decided just for the hay of it to allow the piece to slime up and see what I can see, as somebody told me this will bring the nudi to the surface. I was amazed after all these dips to see what I saw! The real life picture is much more amazing then the picture can ever show...and this is a small piece that is not really showing signs YET! I decided to toss it after this little experiment The white are nudi and egg clusters

Just let it set montipora-less for 6 months then quarantine I just had a Purple Digita brought to me from the shop its in Q/T .. I know its clean and healthy! But I'll never risk dealing with these SOB's ever again. At least Red bugs can be killed as can flatworms and several other pest . I'm waiting for the next new plague . To many people selling corals for money now high profit and low ethics , A while back a Huge fish and dry good supplier had a photo of a acro on their front mag. cover it was crawling with Acro red bugs LOL The quickly fixed that issue LOL
