Added a green monti digitata frag a week ago.Lighting is 250watt halide.I placed it near the bottom of my tank, about 17 inches below water surface in medium flow. The side of the frag that is facing the front of the tank is bright green with good polyp extention while the backside looks slightly fuzzy and is brown. So my questions are,is this normal or do I need to change lighting or flow?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
It's normal, the shaded side does not show as much PE and different coloration.

Once it acclimates to the lighting just try to move it high, mid way up the tank.
