I have a large Purple Monti with purple polyps. Over the last 3 months the inside of 2 swirls are turning green in color. Has anyone ever see this. I have a sunpod with 2 150 MH 14K bulbs.

yes color of the zooxanthellae will change based on the bulbs... have you replaced the bulbs recently or changed brands/color temperatures.

typically if they are giving off a green its because of a high amount of photons that have a low wavelength... this means strong light with lots of UV or blue being emitted.

Maybe 6 weeks ago about when this started I did change my Phoenix 14 K bulbs to Aquamaxx 14K Bulbs. They are similar to my eyes but I guess not to the corals. The green is kinda cool though. They are only 150 watt bulbs

yes, that sounds right... the aquamaxx prolly puts out more UV than the phoenix. that explains the green

as a correction, zooxanthellae don't have different colors, they are all BROWN
The coral itself creates UV pigments and that is what gives the coral its color, so it is adapting to your lighting
