    Cool you got a clown fish I love them too. Maybe yours will be nice is much younger than the one I had to return...I'll try again with a younger one(s).

    I doubt her cycle is done, the tank is only about a week old.

    Keep up on your testing Mary! Make sure the cycling doesnt get the little guy to bad.

    I've only had the tank a week so I doubt it is done.

    No worries... :) I am going to keep an eye on it.

    So, fed the little guy Baby Brine Shrimp this morning. Boy did he like that... now I have a couple of pics. Not the greatest, but they will work for now...

    I did not read this entire thread as maybe someone else addressed the problem ? Plus I really do not want to ruin your party , But based on the pictures I see on your first post that crushed coral /gravel on the bottom at that depth or any depth really is just algae problems waiting to explode . Its far to large in size and will trap all kinds of un eaten food and waste and keep it out of the water column for filtering as all that mess is going to settle in and around and below the crushed coral .

    There is not enough to call it a DSB and to little to help with NNR , DSB need to be 4" at the minimum and deeper is better really . Honestly what you have is a problem just waiting .. Good luck with it

    Well, I could measure when I get home, but I'm pretty sure the sand bed is about 4" deep. But since I am new to this and haven't learned all of the abbreviations, what does NNR stand for?

    And if you think I have a problem waiting to happen, what would you do to fix it? If you are going to make a statement like that you need to explain it.
