    The base, at its lowest point it 3.5 inches and at its highest point is 5 inches...

    I can't center it in the back of the aquarium. I have a skimmer and a filter and a heater back there :(

    But it isn't center. Meaning the distance from one side to the light isn't the same as from the opposite side to the light :(
