I am going to be adding my base rock tonight, but I have to break it first. What is the best way to break the rock? I have a sledgehammer standing by, but I want bigger pieces, not little pieces....

can use a cold chisel and hammer if youve got one. or the claw part of a hammer to break it up. or p[ut eric to work.

LOL.. Eric is the one who gave it to me and told me that I had work to do :D I was considering the claw part of the hammer, but when I tried that this morning before work it was making little pieces. The chisel may work however....

can get more exact cuts with the chisel. if you go with the claw part, aim at where you want a give it a good whack. should split the rock quite nicely. and have that uneven look.

Apparently my accident prone reputations preceeds me :p I will try the chisel first and move to sledge hammer when I get sick of that :D
