Does anyone run them all night?

At the moment my timers are set as follows

    7am Atinics come on
    10am 12k's go on
    5pm 12k's go off
    7pm Atinics go off
7pm Moonlights come on and run all night.

Any ideas or am I doing the right thing?

    TIA

    Schedule looks fine to me.

My moonlights run all night. No issues with this.

I run my moon lights all night. Only question is; "why the short day light period?" 9-10 may be better but if your coral seem o.k. then leave it alone.

I run my moonlights all night also. Photo cells turn them on when the lights go out. Although I run blue covers on mine (came with them) because the white moonlights are to bright for me.

    Mine are blue by default.

That was my real question. What do people normally run for thier timers?

My corals seem to be doing fine they have a nice growth rate but I am very confused about the time. I have heard and read to many different things.

I have a the follow corals.

    Xenia
    Torch
    Zoa's
    and Polyps

Xenia seems to be like a weed grows much faster than any other coral

    Edit:

To answer the why the short day time is due to reading corline aglae like the Antinic lights better than the dayloght blubs.

I really would rather conform to my corals needs.

Why don't you run your lighting system during the evening? That's when I enjoy my tank the most... up to you though, but your fish don't know whether it's 7 am or not :p

I dont know about that, I think the fish have a very good idea about what time it is.

All of my fish are very knowing about the light cycle. My Diamond goby dives into the sand same time every night and my other fish all go into their "Sleeping Holes" at the same time.

if you are keeping the actinics on while daylightsare on, then i believe you are still giving the tank the benefits of the light spectrum.

i will agree fish dont care about time they just recognize when lights are on.

i personally prefer this light cycle:
    10am actinic starts
    12pm daylights on
10 pm daylights out actinic only
    12 am actinic out
    12am moonlights till morning(10am)

This when i like to view my tank . but what works for you of course. trust me your fish wont even know

Yeah, but that's because they are used to your light cycle. If you say moved your light cycle back a couple of hours then they would get used to the new light cycle and probably develop the same habits, just at different times.
