My montipora digitatas are growing fast, but everything else is slow.

I think since I don't have fish, don't do many water changes, use NSW and rely on dosing, that it's slim pickings in there. In other words, they are kinda starving. Just a thought. Nothing is dying, just not much dramatic change.

 

How long did it take for the DIY rock to start looking natural?

 

Several months because I was slacking on alk/calcium testing initially. Even now I'd like to see more coraline on the rocks. It's there and growing.. just not as fast as I'd like. I think I'm on it though. Just need to stay diligent with my levels.

 

That was something I always wondered about the DIY rocks. Did you put a seed rock in or did the coraline show up on its own?
