Good question and concern about humidity with electrical equipment. Having built my own computers since the mid 80's and having seen the myriad fans available; I have to say I was a bit surprised to see a garden variety computer fan in my Aquactinics TX5. I see you have a Solar Flare, also an Aquactinics product.

Never really gave it much thought until I saw your post. Electrical equipment in humidity is never a good scenario. At the very least, you'd need some heat and air movement around the device to keep it safe. See where I'm going here? The constant movement produces heat, and the fan itself, well. . . you get the picture. If a special fan was required for aquarium/humid scenario use; I'd think that a top-notch company like Aquactinics would utilize it. Since they don't, maybe it's not such a great concern?

In conclusion I'd add that a fan is a low voltage device, usually 12V, so worst case scenario, it would most likely burn out without introducing much of a fire hazard. This is an opinion only, so please don't base your next house around it! LOL. Finally, when used properly, a fan always blows INTO the environment needing cooling, not the other way around. So, some computer fans mounted at the periphery of your tank blowing ACROSS the surface of the water probably won't be subject to much humidity since they're always blowing TOWARDS the humid area, taking in air FROM the dry side, as it were.

    HTH.

    Good luck!!

I was under the impression that these were fans you'd be adding to a DIY canopy. If they're part of an existing lighting kit, you may consider reversing the direction of the one fan that blows out. This way, the kit is always receiving fresh, dry air from the outside.

they are only 12 volts, and you use them to blow air in not suck it out so the humid air does not flow across them. I have a Current USA light with 2 fans in it, first off they both blow in. second the fans in it are made by the same company that I buy fans in bulk from to repair computers at work.

I am thinking about just to get a few of fan and then get a cheap 12v adaptor and rip everything apart then just wire them together parallel better or in a series ?

Always parallel. This way if one shorts out/becomes inoperative, the others still function.
