I want to add more rock to my 75 gallon predator tank. I just want to know if I add more dry rock slowly (about a pound a week) will it cause a cycle that will stress my fish

I would add it slowly but maybe not by pound but by piece.....given that you have very little now, you could probably add a couple pieces (decent sized) right away and then add over time...my .02

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Dry rock devoid of any old dead matter will not cause a cycle.

You could also put it in a plastic container and cycle it for a week or two in SW and added that way as well.

Only organic dead matter such animals/sponge/algae that decays further may cause a detectable ammonia level. Clean dry rock should be fine.

rinse and add to tank. no cycle issues. but i'd drill and add acrylic rods to secure;)
