More Sand?

    In my tank, I have maybe a 1-2 inch sand bed. I'm wondering, would it help to have a deeper sand bed, and if so, is it possible to add it after the tank is completely established and has livestock etc in it, and if so, what's the best way to add it?

    Well sand depth is debateable to say the least. :)
    But generally people go a couple inches deeper than you did to aide with lowering nitrates. Although I only have 2-3" myself now.

    You can add it to an existing tank through a PVC tube or some use a plastic bag placed on the bottom, slowly removing it.
